![]() ![]() I'm not strong/heavy enough to get over-excited about BB stiffness. That said, the 07 frame is good in this regard, just not quite as good. It's noticeable mainly when descending where it excels. The biggest single difference is that the newer frame is more stable, I think due to the oversized front end. Haven't put that many miles on either to be honest, though I've done enough to make some observations. The builds are similar and I ride the same wheelsets with both. I have two TCRs in my stable: a 2010 TCR Advanced and a 2007 TCR Advanced. I'm not sure exactly which model Bianchi it is, I got it off ebay. From what I can see, there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference, apart from visually, between the original carbon TCR's, which I always thought were stunning (and light) frames to the newer TCR Advanced frames.Īlso, any thoughts on how the Bianchi compares with the Giant frames. Things like weight, materials used, any known faults. I've noticed over the past few years, they've done away with the standard 27.2 seatpost and used either the ISP or a custom aero seatpost.ĭoes anyone have information, or preferably experience, on the various models of TCR frames over the years. I used to race on an all aluminium TCR from about 1999 and have always liked the geometry of the compact frames. The real question is what are the differences in the models of TCR since they went full carbon. I won't be buying a new frame as I simply can't afford to shell out £1500 for a new frame, instead I'm going the ebay route. I'm considering a change from my trusty carbon Bianchi and looking at a Giant TCR Carbon frame. ![]()
